Over the past years, I have been interviewed by several media outlets about various Sweden-related topics, such as my book about Swedish culture, Germans’ interest in Swedish cottages, and my own experiences of living in Sweden as a foreigner.
Getting interviewed – experience
My first reaction is usually: “Oh no, I’ll be nervous.” A few seconds later comes the second thought: “Why not? This could be fun and an interesting challenge.”
And it usually is. Even though live interviews still make me a bit nervous, I always enjoy the conversations with the program hosts or reporters and feel excited afterwards. The only downside: hearing my strong German accent when listening back. 😅
